Abstract US High School Grades: What on earth do they mean? Not all A grades were created equal. Seventeen students in a class could be "valedictorians". There is no rank below the 50th percentile. How can we possibly make sense of transcripts from US High School students? All studies show that high school is (so far) the best indicator of university success, but when a GPA of 4.0 may mean the student attends regularly and has never been caught with a weapon at school, it becomes increasingly difficult to interpret grades. This session will attempt to help you pick the best candidates in a world where "No Child Left Behind" means no one receives failing grades.
