Hotel Accommodations

OURA has reserved a block of guestrooms at Deerhurst Resort, located at 1235 Deerhurst Drive, Huntsville, ON P1H 2E8. All conference functions will be held at Deerhurst Resort. The following room types and rates are available for the OURA Conference:

Travellers Room (1 bed) - $99 (1-bed hotel style room with TV, coffee maker and hairdryer. Located in the Oakridge and Golfview buildings)

Travellers Room (2 beds) - $108.00 (2-bed hotel-style room with TV, coffee maker and hairdryer. Located in the Oakridge and Golfview buildings)

Pavilion Room - $125 (Business-style room in main lodge with desk area, fax/modem line, two queen beds or one king bed, TV, balcony, coffee maker)

Sports Villa - $135 (The Sports Villas feature two double beds, kitchenette, fireplace, stereo, TV, CD/DVD player, hairdryer and balcony. All are non-smoking)

For groups of three who wish to share larger accommodations, you can enquire about availability and rates of villa and suite accommodations through Deerhurst Reservations.

Shuttle service will be available between the Oakridge and Golfview buildings and the Pavilion where the meals and conference sessions will be held.

Note the following:

You must make your reservation no later than January 13, 2005. After this date, the OURA block will be released and rooms will only be offered at the convention rate on a space-available basis. Other rooms may be available but at a higher rate. Room reservations and charges are the responsibility of the delegate. When making your reservation, identify yourself as a participant in the OURA Conference. Reservations can be made directly by calling Deerhurst Resort toll-free at 1-800-461-4393 or 705-789-6411 or fax 705-789-5204.

All reservations must be accompanied by one night’s room and tax non-refundable deposit, in the form of cheque, money-order or major credit card. Deerhurst resort will not hold any rooms unless a deposit has been made at time of reservation. The balance of the attendee’s full stay is required seven days prior to arrival date. If the balance is not paid by that date, Deerhurst may release the room.

Typically, Deerhurst accepts cancellation only up to three weeks prior to arrival. As a special concession for OURA delegates, Deerhurst will accept guestroom cancellations seven days in advance with a full refund. If cancellations are made less than seven days in advance, no refund will be offered.

All room rates are subject to $7.00 per person per night Resort Fee and appropriate federal and provincial taxes (currently 5% PST on accommodation and 7% GST).
